• The dermal fillers we offer are made of hyaluronic acid, a synthetic version of a naturally-occurring sugar our body makes. Dermal fillers add volume to the area treated to change the way the light hits the face. They are used to help improve the contours of the face and replace lost volume due to aging.

  • Our goal is to treat your entire face as a whole and balance you versus injecting in an a la carte way. We never want to overfill, but instead balance your face.

Most common areas to use filler are:

    • Temples

    • Cheeks

    • Midface

    • Undereye

    • Nose

    • Nasolabial Folds

    • Piriform Aperture

    • Smoker Lines

    • Lips

    • Shadow/Marionette Area

    • Chin

    • Jawline

    • Neck

  • The rule of thumb is to not love or hate your filler for 2 weeks. Depending on what area is treated, there may be several days of swelling, bruising, and the filler will feel firm. Swelling resolves within 3-4 days and bruising resolves within a week if it occurs at all. The filler will feel firm for the first 2 weeks and may feel lumpy but will soften as it settles and feel softer. If you are prone to bruising, ask about our signature anti-bruising protocol at your appointment!

  • Dermal filler appointments take about 45 minutes. These appointments are a little longer than a Botox appointment because we numb our clients for about 15-20 minutes. To achieve Full Face Rejuvenation, you may need multiple filler appointments over the course of 6-12 months.

  • Most clients are very comfortable during treatment. Our fillers contain lidocaine and we also numb you before. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, we are happy to give you more numbing. Or if you are anxious we offer Nitrous Oxide aka “laughing gas!”

  • We typically recommend avoiding large amounts of alcohol 72 hours before, caffeine day of and any NSAIDS/Blood thinners 1 weeks prior to your treatment to minimize bleeding/bruising. Please consult your physician before stopping any prescription medications.

There is a higher chance of bruising with dermal filler treatments than with Botox, so some clients may take arnica tablets 4-7 days prior to their treatment but it is not necessary. Arnica is an over-the-counter homeopathic medication which helps prevent bruising, found in most pharmacies.

  • Please DO NOT massage or manipulate the area treated as this may alter your results. This is especially important in the first 6 hours following treatment as that is when the filler is most malleable.

Please drink LOTS of water. Hyaluronic acid fillers work by absorbing water so the more you drink, the more beautiful your results.

If you are experiencing swelling, you may ice the area for 10 minutes at a time. Please be sure to take a 10 minute break between ice applications as it is easy to give yourself frostbite if the ice pack is left on for too long.

We recommend you do not exercise for 24-48 hours as this will increase swelling.

Keep in mind some treatments may have different aftercare instructions so these may not all apply to your specific service. We will go over everything at your appointment that applies.

  • Dermal fillers range from $550-800/syringe depending on the size of the syringe and the specific product, but they last from 12-24 months, so if you divide that up you may be paying as little as $0.75 per day (less than what most people spend per day on coffee!). Recommendations on product and syringe size will be made at the time of your appointment. Because we focus on a little everywhere, the average amount of syringes is 3-5 to obtain full face rejuvenation. For context, 5 syringes of filler is equal to 1 teaspoon of volume.

  • Dermal fillers last different amounts of time depending on the product and placement. Some dermal fillers last 6-12 months while others last 18-24 months. On average, most clients will come in at least once to twice a year to maintain their results once we obtain our ideal full face rejuvenation.

  • The biggest risk of any filler is a vascular occlusion. Although this is extremely rare, if you are getting dermal fillers you should know every risk. This occurs when filler is placed into a blood vessel and blocks blood flow to your skin. If this occurs usually the area will turn white immediately and you will experience pain different than a poke. We keep a dissolving agent on hand at all times and will initiate the protocol if ever needed. If you are to notice blanching, pain you cannot ignore or abnormal swelling once you go home, you need to contact us immediately. WE GIVE AN AFTERCARE CARD TO ANYONE RECEIVING FILLER. Although this is an extremely low risk, you should always be aware of all risks with any procedure you are receiving.
