Sculptra is a bio stimulating agent which means it uses your own body’s products to build collagen and elasticity that you no longer make after your mid 20’s!  Unlike filler, it uses natural processes to build volume, tighten tissue and prevent future agin. 

Anyone who wants to prevent future aging or correct volume loss and skin elasticity. Sculptra is not a replacement for a facelift, but will prolong the need for one if started early.

Sculptra works by mounting a healthy immune response within your body that causes it to grow your own collagen and elasticity. Sculptra gets injected and over the next 3-6 months you’ll notice tightening of tissue, volume replacement and overall better skin appearance.

We recommend 1 vial per decade of life to start and then 1-2 vials per year to maintain. However if you are mid 30’s or younger and want to start doing it for prevention, we recommend 1 vial per year

Up to 25 months, but with one a year maintenance, until you stop doing the treatment!

With any injection there is a risk of bruising and swelling, however, if pre-treatment instructions are followed, this risk is minimal. We do have patients follow the “Rule of 5’s” in which we tell patients to massage 5 times a day for 5 days for 5 minutes each time. This helps distribute the biostimulant evenly throughout the face.
