NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) is a powerful coenzyme that plays a crucial role in energy production, cognitive function, and overall well-being. This treatment can help increase energy and alertness, improve mental clarity and focus, reduce fatigue, and support weight management. It also promotes healthy aging by reducing wrinkles, improving skin laxity, and combating oxidative stress, which contributes to cellular damage and disease. Additionally, NAD+ therapy can help flush out toxins, support metabolic processes, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and even assist in minimizing cravings and addictive behaviors.
-
NAD+ therapy is administered either through intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SubQ) injections.
At TAM, there are two treatment options:Option 1: Loading Dose
Day 1: An intramuscular injection is administered in-office by a provider.
Days 2-5: Subcutaneous injections are self-administered at home.
Maintenance: Weekly or monthly at-home SubQ injections for ongoing benefits.
Option 2: Maintenance Dose
Day 1: An intramuscular injection is administered in-office by a provider.
Ongoing: Intramuscular injections are given weekly or monthly in-office for continued support.
-
Appointment is booked for 15 minutes. The injection itself takes 30 seconds. We have the patient wait in the room for 10- 15 minutes after injection to monitor for any side effects.
-
Amount of sessions varies patient to patient.
Older adults or those with more demanding lifestyles may need more frequent treatments to experience noticeable results.
Some people feel an immediate boost after the first session, while others may need more treatments to experience the full effect.
-
While the injection itself is generally not painful, some people may feel lightheaded, flushed, or experience a brief warm sensation during or immediately after the infusion. Any post-treatment sensations tend to last just a few minutes. For most, the process is considered tolerable with little to no lingering pain.
-
The effects of NAD+ injections are not permanent, but they can have long-lasting benefits when incorporated into a consistent treatment plan.
-
Some people will experience flushing or redness, nausea or an upset stomach, headaches, fatigue in the first couple hours after the injection, mild dizziness, pain or irritation at the injection site. However, these side effects are much more likely if NAD+ is given through an IV versus what we do which is an intramuscular injection.
-
People with certain conditions, like kidney disease or liver issues, should consult a doctor before using NAD+ injections. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid NAD+ injections, as the long-term safety hasn't been fully studied in these populations.
-
At TAM, you can add on NAD to any injectable treatment. We do not offer any other vitamin therapy or IV infusions at TAM, but NAD can typically be combined with treatments such as Vitamin C, B vitamins, amino acids, and other antioxidants.
